Dumb Ass Excuses for Not Living Out Your Dreams
We’ve all got bullshit excuses about why we’re not allowed to live our dreams.
You might not acknowledge them out loud but they’re there. Living under the surface and blocking you from receiving true love, abundance and happiness.
Here are just some of mine…
- I’m not spiritual enough
- I don’t meditate every day … I don’t deserve peace of mind
- I don’t think good thoughts about everyone, all the time … I don’t deserve good things to happen to me
- I don’t tithe or give enough to charity … I don’t deserve abundance
Bullshit.
- I’m too young/old (Time travel hasn’t been invented yet, so you can only be the age you are right now.) Some people become billionaires at 17. Some people graduate high school at 83.
I was pretty bummed that I wasn’t a millionaire by 30, but I’m okay with that now. I’m also okay with being a personal development leader in my 30s.
I think NOW could be just about perfect for you to step into your ideal life, don’t you?
- I’m not skinny enough…
- So I can’t seek out publicity for my business
- So, I’m gonna wait until I lose the weight before I do any videos
- People will probably criticize me if I post pictures of myself online
- Maybe I should postpone that speaking gig until next year…
Bullshit.
- It’s not the right time
- When IS the right time?
Are you waiting for the stars to align? For the perfect conditions? For a sign?
Today is a pretty good day to start. TODAY can be your lucky day.
- I’m crap with money
Many women have convinced themselves that they “just aren’t good” with money. Or because they have debts, or don’t follow a budget every day that they couldn’t handle more money. Lots of women are afraid of paying more taxes. That they’ll get into trouble with the government.
That’s bullshit.
Not many people are born into families with good money habits, or a healthy relationship with money. Make money your friend. Be okay with having more of it, earning more than your friends and family and learning to become a great steward of your money. Don’t just study inspirational stories about money, make it your mission to uncover and release your money clutter.
- I’m not perfect (yet)
- She’s got everything together
- Her launch went perfectly
- One day I’ll be perfect and be worthy of outrageous success
Bullshit.
Nobody is perfect. Everyone is making it up as they go along. Everyone is afraid.
[Insert your excuse here.]
It really doesn’t matter you’re using as your best excuse. You know it’s a complete and utter lie.
