Are You Connected to Your Intuition?

Erika Watson (Business Heroine Magazine)

Choosing to follow your sacred truth and allowing for God, the Universe, Source Power, Spirit, whatever you may call your higher power, to truly guide you on your path can create a lot of anxiety in people.

For one, it’s a relationship that you may say you have, yet it’s like the family member you only talk to once a year on holidays.

Two, you may still be in a place where you are disconnected from your truth, and are still searching outside of yourself for joy, for answers, for abundance, etc. from other people or substances.

Three, you may have been dishonoring your body for so long, you can’t hear or feel or see the guidance presented to you in your glorious temple on a daily basis.

Do any of these resonate?

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I am so passionate about helping women fall in love with their bodies because it truly is your gateway to heaven.  The guidance you seek as you make a decision in your life can be felt in your gut, or displayed through one of your other incredible senses.  Knowing which relationships or opportunities are best for you come from a place of deep listening, not avoidance or settling.

The pleasure you wish to feel in this lifetime is connected to your body and heart.  The freedom you desire to share your gifts is when you can move from the worry of your egoic mind and into the embodiment of your soul.

And yet, many people, including myself on my path of recovery, spent so much time hating their bodies or miss-feeding their bodies, or numbing their bodies, that it makes hearing your intuition and taking your next step so much harder.   In fact, it is a bit backwards.

You think, “when I reach this weight”, or “when my body looks like this, then I’ll choose what’s good for me, then I’ll go after my dream, then I can let love in, then I can say what I feel”, but it is only taking you farther from your divine source of power, your confidence, and your body and your frustration will continue to play out to guide yourself home.

Being connected to your truth ultimately, honoring your body and its incredible purpose for you, and expressing that intuitive wisdom first is what will free both your mind and allow your body to shift into it’s ideal form.  Remember the phrase, Believe it to See It?  And even if you never drop a pound, the life, opportunities, and love that you will experience will fill you so much with peace and joy that you’ll wonder why you ever worried about your body to begin with.

Whether you want to lose weight, or just want deeper clarity on your life’s path, I invite you to look at how you are honoring your body and your connection to your intuition and God. What choices are you making in your life that allow you to truly listen, to nourish and nurture your body, to support your responsiveness to the great call?

Working with my clients I offer an extensive guide of sacred rituals that allow them to begin merging their physical and spiritual practice and dedicate themselves to creating the body and life they love.   One of the ways in which we can begin to spend more time in our bodies, loving our bodies, while sharpening our listening skills is through meditation.

It can seem awkward at first, butI invite you take some time each day, breathing deeply, getting centered, and feeling peace.  It is through this state of presence and relaxation that allows you to stay grounded in your heart and receptive to your intuition.

Be open to the magic. It’s here and ready for you to accept its grace.
