Congrats! You Have a 100% Success Rate!

Maureen McNamara (Business Heroine Magazine)

In this wild & wonderful journey of life everyone experiences obstacles, setbacks and losses, as well as victories, progress and achievements. The consistent factor throughout all of this is that YOU have made it through absolutely everything you have faced. I invite you to acknowledge and find strength in the fact that your track record in life has a 100% success rate.

“On particularly rough days when I’m sure I can’t possibly endure, I like to remind myself that my track record for getting through bad days so far, is 100% and that’s pretty good.”

What would your life look like if you realized “difficulties” are a fact of life, and looked at things with a new perspective and different view by accepting it is possibly all by divine design? What if challenges helped us experience the fullness and even sweetness of life? No matter what happens, we get to choose how to react to each experience.  Consciously decide to keep moving and you will come out on the other side, the lighter side.

Even when life seems to be punching you in the throat, remember you have already made it. You are here today and you are undefeated. The only way to “lose” is if we allow ourselves to stay trapped by roadblocks. When you are tempted to give up, remember nothing has ever truly stopped you before. Things may have slowed you down and challenged you but you have won every single battle by breaking through the barriers. You are still here and use that to prove to yourself you will be here thriving tomorrow!

When an experience goes in a less desirable direction, some people automatically think everything will go wrong. You’ve seen these people, throwing their hands up in the air or clawing their face declaring: “Uughh, I wonder what else is going to go wrong!”

I challenge you to choose a different way. Believe that you can move on and decide not to stay stuck. Press forward, stay strong, and emerge with more resilience, a greater understanding and respect for life and faith in yourself.

This will pass. All things inevitably come and go. Remember that moods, emotions and “bad days” are impermanent. Reflecting on the ever-changing nature of life helps us see that we’re not going to be permanently stuck in our current mood. Choose to make a shift or change and discover what happens!

Learn to trust. Things work out in the end. Trust in yourself by following your intuition and doing your best, and then move forward one step at a time with faith and confidence in the future. Trust the universe and that life is unfolding by divine design.

Learn from your experiences.  Setbacks and challenges are simply a form of practice. Sometimes things may go wonky to see what need to change in order to go right. The journey may not always be easy, but it will be worth it.

Look for new beginnings in every ending. Thank your past for experience and life lessons. Welcome the present and future by being open and ready. Great beginnings can happen when something else comes to an end. Never give up. Things can happen when we least expect it.

Remember your magnificence, brilliance and badassery! You are an infinite being with unlimited potential. Would an infinite being be negative, stuck and afraid of everything? Hell no! You are a part of something so much bigger than yourself or your problems. Tap into that greatness and put things in perspective.

Have support. On days that you forget your awesomeness, have supportive people to remind you of how amazing you are and help remind you to put things back into perspective.

Tough times may seem like marathons, but it is important to remember that inevitably they lighten up. You have the power to navigate through the temporary setbacks and the choice of how you let them affect you. Stay positive and motivated, believe in your dreams, have a short cry and a good laugh with a friend, and go out and continue to rock your life.

It’s important to find new, fun and practical ways to add more joy and laughter while approaching challenges with strength and confidence. Ask yourself, “What can I learn from this that will make me better in the future?” And, of course, one of my favorite questions: “What’s interesting or amusing about this so that I can now create a new perspective?”

Keep moving forward. You so have what it takes. 100% guaranteed.
