Feelin’ the NUDGE
This quote really hit home for me:
I realized I’ve been depending on a branch.
My little bird claws have been digging into that branch to prevent a fall. My little bird wings have been tensely clasped by my side, unwilling to pry themselves open.
Why? I’ve been sitting on that branch for so long, that I’d forgotten. I’d bought into the delusion.
But for a moment, my attention wandered from my rigid grasp… and I looked up. Guess what I saw:
Plenty of other branches available for playing on if I should choose to. Yummy worms on the ground just waiting for me to swoop down and enjoy a plump meal. Open space and blue skies to glide through as I please.
So now I’m shaking myself off and taking a good look at those precious wings of mine. Like, hmmm… hmmmmm! Where shall we go, little wings?
Can you relate, my birdie friend? Share your insights in the comments :)
Love,
Anne
P.S. I was also inspired by this quote:
“If you fall, I’ll be there.” ~ Floor
Oh yeah, duh! What’s the worst that could happen?
