Sex and Sound: A Myth for Women Warriors

Come closer.

I am going to tell you a story. A story that is full of shadow and light, diamonds and darkness, sex and spirit, sorrow and soul.

Once upon a time….

There lived a good little girl named Light.

She came into the world with a knowing; a sense of things. She would sit on her daddy’s lap and try to explain what she felt.

Darkness. Black. Space.

But not black the color. And not empty.

It was nothingness.

She was tapped into Goddess Kali, a feminine energy that laughs at ego and spits on the face of time. Light had no words to express the depth of Kali and every time she opened her mouth to speak, she was silenced. Only the sound of air was heard as she would…

There were words she wanted to form, sounds to make, but they stuck in her throat. Scratched. Itched. Burned. She couldn’t catch her breath. Light was taken to doctors and pricked with needles, diagnosed with severe allergies. Little did they know a long, lean snake called Taboo had crawled up Light’s lungs, wrapped around her heart, and coiled at the base of her throat.

Every time Light spoke, Taboo squeezed.

Light grew into a woman with no voice. She began to use her body.

For manipulation.

For exploitation.

She exchanged lap dances with wolves to pay for her home and buy herself gold. Shake those tits. Wiggle that ass. Smile. Don’t speak. Don’t you dare.

All the while Taboo slithered through the red, damp  passages of tied up tonsils. Down, down, down she went into the caverns of the red cave. The womb. Dirty. Ugly. Shut the hell up.

Sex and sin. Sound and spirit.

Needs release. But don’t you dare shriek.

Needs to speak. But don’t you dare freak.

One hazy, cinnamon colored dawn, Light slept. Taboo slithered. And caressed. Licked with the flick of her tongue. Light tried to resist as Taboo used her fangs to pry her sex open.

In she dove.

And, “Oh, oh, oh” was all Light could whimper. Taboo wanted more. She teased and touched until red exploded all over the sheets and Light let out a scream. As she opened her mouth, the sounds of women locked up for light years were let out.

Mouth open. Womb open.

A scream that was eternal.
And as she opened wider…

Taboo traveled.

Up her throat, out her lips, expelled through the channel of Light’s voice, into the open air and out into the naked Universe.

But as the snake flew from her prisoner’s tongue, Light reached out and grabbed her by the tail, turned her around.

She looked the demon right in the eye.

A pause.

A recognition.

And then she bit off her head. Chewed. Swallowed.

Once her belly was full, she bestowed Taboo with a new name.

“Lightning.”

She would shower her words across the land. She would devastate devils and make them weep. She would pour out passion. She would tickle shame. She would flaunt her weird. And dance with her wild.

She.

Would.

Be.

Free.

Dedicated to all my truth-freakers:

Go ahead; turn your demons into Goddesses. Use fear as a gateway to expand into your power.

And know this; sex and spirit and voice are all connected. Heal one. And you begin to heal the other.

LOVED this read. I think there are layers here that will reveal more upon a second read. But I do know the truth is revealed here, that women have been taught, expected, cultured, shamed, punished and forced to silence their voice, certainly their True Voice, if not their actual voice. I am so glad to be alive now to be present to Her awakening, and to the wonderful and varied voices of every woman as we journey into reclaiming our Voice, our Sexuality, our Soul.
