Anne Perry is founder and CEO of Business Heroine®.
After spending her early adult years burdened by debt and suffocating in jobs that drained the life out of her, Anne knew a few things to be true: 1) The 9-5 hamster wheel setup is not what life is meant to be about, 2) There is a way out, and 3) She was going to find it and leave a Cheerio trail for others like her.
She spent years studying the people who had blazed the trail she was inspired to take – that of the self-made, freedom-based entrepreneur. Finally carving her own path to freedom, Anne became a work-from anywhere entrepreneur, running her business from the beaches of Belize, from islands off the coast of Panama, and while traveling around the United States in a motorhome.
Anne built Business Heroine® as a platform to broadcast the voices of women who, despite obstacles, decided to break free of the mold and create life according to her own design. ♥ Inquire about receiving private mentoring with Anne here. ♥
Katie Johnston, Outreach & Brand Ambassador at Business Heroine®, is an Alabama-native turned Venice Beach local. She takes full advantage of her surroundings by frequenting the beach, skating down the boardwalk and trying out the happy hour at all the local restaurants.
She ventured across the country to pursue a career in public relations and marketing, and has discovered several other interests and strengths along the way. Writing, editing and crafting the perfect message have become her passions, and the idea that she can be a part of creating a lasting and meaningful brand truly resonates within her work.
Katie believes in strong women with even stronger convictions and is consistently inspired by women who are available in life – those who give meaning to the good along with the bad and who adapt and progress accordingly.
She prides herself on being able to juggle and the fact that she’s finally quit biting her nails.

McKella Sawyer is the Content Manager and article ninja at Business Heroine®. A lifelong artist and writer, she loves to use her creativity to uplift and inspire others. She dreams of a world where women thrive and have support as they build their unique, beautiful, and creative lives.
McKella lives in Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband Sam and her fluffy cat Louka. When she isn’t painting, writing, or working with the Business Heroine® team, she’s often reading books, riding horses, hula hooping, tutoring high school students, eating unladylike amounts of dark chocolate, and spending time with her friends and family who are every bit as weird as she is.
McKella also blogs about her art and life at MckellaSawyer.com and plans to publish her fiction work in the future. Creativity and expression are what life is all about!
Alex Reyes is our Tech Hero at Business Heroine®. He is the CEO and founder of The Virtual Roadie – a simple way to have a professional webmaster secure your site – and he loves to make technology work for his clients instead of the other way around.
Alex used to work the dreaded 9-5 shift at a bank, only to see his health fade away day by day, due to the high levels of stress. His girlfriend, his mad skills with computers, and a bit of luck allowed him to escape to the entrepreneur world and pursue his dreams full time.
When not glued to the computer, Alex enjoys cooking meals for his girlfriend, playing video games, watching movies, traveling as much as possible, and generally looking around for his next gaming laptop.
Alex blogs at TheVirtualRoadie.com and he’s determined to help as many entrepreneurs as possible reach their dreams because, as far as he knows, you only live once.
