What’s the deal with BRANDING?

When it comes to marketing and sales – everyone wants to know; WHAT IS YOUR BRAND?

And for some of us, we get the concept but have a difficult time applying it. That is because there are certain qualities needed in your life which shows up in your BaZi Chinese Astrology chart that makes you good at branding. That element is Ji Earth. It is the yin element of earth and if this is your Day Master, you are an expert at branding. You understand trust. Donald Trump has it and so does Dr. Phil McGraw. Think about it.

Donald Trump puts his name on a casino, hi-rise apartment building, hotel, TV show and even water is a hit. You know what you are going to get. He has created his brand. Same with Dr. Phil. He has TV and books and in every case you know what the Dr. Phil concept is all about.

Recently, I learned something new about branding when I took the Big Money Speaker seminar with James Malinchek from the ABC Secret Millionaire show. He described brand in a different way and I dig his explanation. He says that “brand” is your unique packaging and positioning. Emphasis on positioning.

How do you position yourself in the market place? The idea is that if you want to stand out – create your own category. That way you truly stand out. His example is if you want to be a best-selling author, create your own category on Amazon where you are the only author and that way you will be a best-selling author.

Now this doesn’t work for everyone and every business, but you get the point. Instead of competing with everyone out there – make you stand out. Be different. Be unique. Be yourself. Create your brand by being true to yourself and what you stand for.
