Warning: May Cause Renewal

{}

Ahh, springtime has arrived. Here in New York City, the weather is finally getting warmer, and I no longer have to wear a thirty-pound scarf to keep warm!

Spring knows how to tickle my senses in just the right way. I always end up inspired to do some deep thinking. So of course, I got the tickle a few weeks after springtime’s arrival, and I decided to go for a walk. As I soaked in the sunshine, I realized how much spring is a time for change and positivity. I also realized that not everyone is a big fan of change.

We all have our routines and habits that make us feel secure in how we move through life. Any disturbances that get thrown into the mix and “kill our vibe” can be incredibly upsetting.

Personally, I’ve recently experienced a handful of unwanted changes that ended up being the most powerful and necessary changes in my life.

You see, that’s kind of how life works.

Whether you want it to or not, spring always arrives. And when you’ve got soul-shattering, mind-numbing, burning-desire life shifts on the horizon, nothing is stopping that bad boy.

Your resistance or your compliance is the catalyst that only further facilitates the changes that must scare or excite you.

Yoda once said: “Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose.”

Yoda is totally my homeboy. Look at those meditation skillz. (Yes, with a z.)

Fears arise from expectations of what you feel you should get, be awarded, or have. But what if you let those expectations go and took life at face value? Now, don’t get me wrong. By all means, hold your intentions dear to your heart, sing your affirmations to the Universe, and let the world know you’re on a mission to spread health and happiness.

And while you’re doing that, let go of the expectations that “x should happen because I did y.”

Yowza. Life isn’t a creature on a leash that you can control with the snap of your fingers

(Surprise! Life isn’t your bitch).

In fact, if life were that simple of a formula, we’d all be uninspired with far less exciting trials and victories.

That brings us to two questions:

DO YOU WANT TO FUTILELY RESIST CHANGES THAT ARE MEANT TO HAPPEN?

OR DO YOU WANT TO STEP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE?

When you step out of your comfort zone, you give yourself the opportunity to melt into and accept change for what it is – a wild, beautiful, messy and fun adventure.

This is our declaration to the Universe.

Let us accept any powerful changes that come our way.

Let us allow spring’s bright energy to renew us.

Let us amplify that energy and say yes to the unexpected.

We’re ready, and the time is now. Bring it on.
